This story is about Snowy, a Great Dane, in Pennsylvania who gave birth to nineteen puppies recently and the mother and the pups are doing well. Great Danes are among the breed of bigger dogs and they usually have a litter of five to eight puppies. But to give birth to nineteen is unimaginable.
This news will come as a shock to many people. Brandon Terry, owner of Snowy, has informed many news channels that some of the puppies were delivered at home and when they found that she was facing difficulty in delivering, she had to be taken to an animal clinic in the local area for delivering the remaining pups.
Snowy has been busy and she has also been an item in the news in Pennsylvania. She belongs to residents in York County in Pennsylvania, Brandon Terry and Aimie. They could never expect that Snowy would give birth to so many puppies. This happened about three weeks ago and Snowy delivered prematurely. Brandon was doing work in his yard when he heard a noise resembling the mewing of kittens. When he checked out Snowy, seven puppies were already out and the remaining dozen were born at the local animal hospital.
As per the Guinness Book of Records, the world record for a dog litter is twenty four pups held by a Neapolitan Mastiff in Cambridgeshire, England in 2004.
